Arch of Augustus
Arch of Augustus is a landmark monument built in 27 BC in honour of Ceasar Augustus. This arch served to mark the end of the via Flaminia, linking the cities of Romagna to Rome, and marked the beginning of the via Emilia, a road leading northwest to Piacenza. Pigna Fountain
Located in piazza Cavour, the famous fountain La Fontana Della Pigna was built in 1543 by Giovanni da Carrara, although in part it dates back to the Roman period. The fountain is of great significance as it served as the sole source of drinking water in the city until the public aqueduct was established in 1912.
